My philosophy in plastic surgery is to use ‘tried and trusted’ procedures/methodology but, at the same time, always being open to new and innovative techniques. Each patient is an individual and the treatment needs to be tailored accordingly. No ‘one’ procedure is suitable for all patients. A full assessment of the patient needs to be made and the various nuances of the operation tailored to fit the particular patient. All surgical procedures involve a certain amount of ‘down time’. (There isn’t really any ‘lunch-time operation’!) There is scarring, which is usually merely ‘a fine line’ but can vary. Non-surgical interventions, such as Botox and Fillers etc., are procedures done in the rooms and have no - if not minimal - down time.
